I saw Rob Lowe in a Adkins diet commercial of sorts today. What the heck was that all about?!
It did bring back fond memories of him hanging in my high school locker...such a Teen Beat heartthrob back in the day!
This picture was actually taken on 7/9, just over a week ago.
In a nutshell...
I had a wrestling match with my mountain bike at the end of a super fun ride with my Bry-Guy. Spent nearly 4 hours in the ER, having my neck and shoulder x-rayed. Nothing broken…whew!
However, saw my orthopedist the next day, and he ordered an MRI, because I could barely lift my arm. A few days later I did manage to get full range of motion back, with some (minor to acute) pain of course…(my threshold is rather high💃🏼) And so this morning I had my MRI.
Here are the results:
Acromioclavicular joint: There is no os acromiale. Acromioclavicular joint space is preserved. There is mild lateral downsloping of the acromion process. Type 2 acromion process morphology. Large amount of subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis.🙄😳
There is a full-thickness complete supraspinatus tendon tear with thickened retracted fibers (coronal series 8, image 10). 😱😫😤💩There is approximately
2.8 cm of retraction. 😬💩
No atrophy of the muscle belly. 😁The infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis tendons are intact. 😎👏🏼👍🏼 Biceps, labrum and glenohumeral joint:
There is no fracture or dislocation. 👍🏼There is a moderate-sized glenohumeral joint effusion with synovitis in the axillary pouch. 😬Articular cartilage is intact.👌🏼Mild degeneration and fraying of the superior labrum without definite acute tear. 😩😭Biceps labral
anchor and intra and extra-articular portions of the biceps tendon are preserved. 👌🏼Remainder of the labrum is intact. 👏🏼Glenohumeral ligaments are preserved.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It's my RIGHT shoulder.💩
Can I swear like a mother trucker now???
